Manages the day-to-day operations of the Pohnpei State Legislature — maintaining official records, coordinating sessions in Kolonia, and serving as the primary contact point for citizens seeking information.

The Division of the Legislative Chief Clerk’s Office serves the Pohnpei State Legislature by;

  1. Managing the official files and records of the Legislature, which includes correspondents, proposed legislation, committee reports, and statutes.
  2. Managing the Public hearing and Legislative session schedules
  3. Recording and maintaining official records of proceedings, votes, and decisions
  4. performing clerical duties during sessions of the Legislature
  5. Establishing and maintaining status table for all bills and resolutions.
  6. Maintaining the Legislature’s official records and archives

Public Interface

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for citizens of Pohnpei seeking information about the Legislature
  • Facilitating public access to legislative documents and records
