Oversees infrastructure development, road construction, public transportation, port operations, and telecommunications systems in Pohnpei State.
Public Works, Transportation and Communication. The Standing Committee on Public Works, Transportation and Communication has nine members. This Committee has purview over matters pertaining to public works, energy production, air, land and sea transportation, communication, and the activities and operations of the Pohnpei Port Authority, the Pohnpei Transportation Authority, the Pohnpei Utilities Corporation, the Pohnpei Commission on Energy and the Pohnpei Public Broadcasting Corporation. It considers and reports on all bills, resolutions, financial requests, and other matters referred to it by the Legislature or within its oversight jurisdiction.
